How do I book?
We’re excited to be part of your special day! To get started, kindly select a package from our Ratecard that best suits your event and complete our Inquiry Form with the necessary details to request an invoice and secure your booking.
Need assistance or clarity? Feel free to call us or schedule a free consultation—we’re here to help! Please take a moment to review our Terms of Service before proceeding, as booking with us signifies your acceptance of our Contract.
After booking, you’ll receive a questionnaire to provide accurate details of your big day. Based on your selected package, a photographer and (optionally) a Creative Director will be assigned to your event. You’ll also enjoy a curated pre-production meeting—our creative consultation (via Zoom)—to ensure every moment is planned perfectly.

Who will shoot my event?
Jema Studios is a premier photography and videography company, home to a team of highly skilled and creative professionals specializing in capturing weddings and events. When a Jema Studios Lead Photographer/Cinematographer arrives at your event, you can trust they are fully equipped to deliver breathtaking images that match the exceptional quality showcased in our portfolio.
With every click, we ensure your cherished moments are transformed into stunning visual stories. Rest assured, you’re in the hands of a seasoned professional who is as passionate about your big day as you are.
Where will the team be coming from?
We’re proud to operate in four major cities—Accra, New York, Toronto, and Amsterdam. However, we’re always excited to travel beyond these locations to bring your vision to life!
For events outside our base cities, clients will be responsible for covering transportation and accommodation costs. Additionally, services in these areas will include an extra charge and require our team to arrive at least a day before your event to ensure proper preparation and rest for the big day.

What time will you arrive at the event?
Our team prioritizes punctuality and preparation to ensure a flawless experience:
For traditional ceremonies: We’ll arrive 40 minutes before the start of the ceremony to set up and prepare to capture every meaningful moment.
For white weddings: Expect us 70 minutes (1 hour, 10 minutes) before the ceremony begins, allowing time for setup, lighting checks, and scouting for ideal shots.
For general events: We’ll arrive 40 minutes before the event kicks off to ensure all is ready to create stunning memories.
This timeline ensures we’re always ready to deliver exceptional results for your big day or special occasion.
When will you leave my event?
The time we leave your event is based entirely on the number of hours booked in your package. Our timing begins as soon as our team arrives at the agreed meeting location.
Should the event exceed the booked hours due to unforeseen circumstances or extended activities, additional charges will apply. Clients are responsible for these extra hourly costs unless prior arrangements have been made with our media team.
We’re committed to ensuring your event is captured beautifully while staying aligned with the agreed timeline.
How many photographers will be at the event?
This will be based on the package you choose; however, if you are expecting more than 120 guests, we strongly advise adding an additional photographer from our team to reduce the single shooter's stress and help achieve a more comprehensive story and wedding gallery. You can also enjoy the presence of a creative director from our team whose sole purpose will be to make you picture-ready. He will also liaise with your planners, family and other photographers to ensure daily activities are well coordinated and timely.
When do I meet the photographer?
Once your booking process is finalized, a Lead Photographer(s) will be assigned to your event. Following this, we’ll arrange a meeting—either in person at our head office or virtually via Zoom—during our creative consultation sessions. This session allows us to connect, discuss your vision, and ensure everything is perfectly planned for your special day.
Will our pictures be featured online/social media?
Not automatically. Jema Studios carefully selects images at its discretion for features on our social media platforms and blogs. Under copyright law, images created for clients are considered Shared Ownership, granting equal rights to both the client and Jema Studios to share and reproduce the images.
Clients can, however, request Full Copyright for their images at an additional cost. Once this is granted, Jema Studios relinquishes all rights to share, reproduce, or commercialize the images without explicit permission from the client.
Additionally, some of our premium packages—like the Priceless and Timeless—include automatic features on our blogs and media platforms. For details, refer to the specific package descriptions.

What do you call unprocessed Jpegs?
Unprocessed JPEGs are images captured directly by our cameras, untouched by editing or enhancements. They provide an authentic, raw representation of your event—perfectly capturing the moments as they unfolded. These images are an exact reflection of the day before any artistic manipulation or refinements are applied, offering a glimpse into your story's unfiltered essence.
What do you call Retouched Images?
Retouched images go beyond standard editing to focus on enhancing specific elements within the photograph. While every image you receive is edited for overall quality, retouching elevates this by addressing finer details. This includes refining features like hair, skin, makeup, or posture, and even minimizing distractions for a flawless finish.
Retouching can also involve adding creative touches such as specialized filters or unique color grading to craft a distinctive and polished look. It’s about transforming a great photo into an extraordinary one, ensuring every detail reflects the glowing essence of your story—essentially, the perfect picture brought to life!
Do you touch up all the images on the Flash Drive?
No, we don't retouch all the images on the flash drive. We provide all unprocessed JPEGs—raw, untouched images from your event—within seven working days. These photos offer a true representation of your day before any edits are made.
You'll have the opportunity to select which images you'd like to be post-processed, based on your package. You have seven working days to submit your selections. If you miss this deadline, our team will make the selections for you, ensuring there's no delay in our workflow and final delivery.
After your selection, we’ll apply our signature post-production edits—basic adjustments like cropping, color correction, exposure fixes, tone mapping, and more. Retouched images, indicated with (R#), are refined further to address specific details like skin texture, hair, makeup, and other elements, giving you a polished and flawless look. Additional retouching can be requested at an extra cost (see our rate card for pricing).
This ensures you receive a beautiful, professionally edited gallery that tells your story perfectly.
How long will it take to receive our product?
At Jema Studios, we prioritize delivering your memories with quality and efficiency. Here's a quick guide on what to expect:
Delivery Time: All unprocessed JPEGs (raw images) will be sent to you on a flash drive within 7 working days. These are the unedited photos from your event, ready for you to select your favorites for further editing.
Image Selection and Client Action: You’ll have 7 working days to choose the images you'd like us to post-process. Additional selections may incur extra charges, as detailed in our rate card.
Post-Processed Images: Once you’ve made your selections, we’ll begin editing, and you can expect the final, post-processed images to be ready within 14-21 working days. During the editing process, we’ll send you a few sneak peeks for updates.
Short Trailers/Film: Delivered within 21-40 working days.
Full Videos: Expect delivery within 60-90 working days.
Extended Videos: Additional charges apply for videos beyond the set package minutes.
Final Deliverables: Complete Package Delivery (including photo books, frames, etc.): These will be ready within 60-90 working days.
Express Services: Need it quicker? We offer express services at an additional cost.
Delivery Method: Pick-up, We recommend picking up your final proofs at our office. Doorstep Delivery also available at your expense.
Complimentary Review: Each client gets one free review of the full video and trailer. Please submit feedback within 30 days of receiving your deliverables.
Additional Reviews: Requests for extra edits or reviews after 30 days will incur an additional charge.
We aim to ensure your experience is seamless from start to finish! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.
What is your cancellation policy?
We do hope clients do not cancel their bookings before their special day, but if this happens, the booking fee of 50% of the package chosen will be non-refundable—request contracts for further information on this.
