Two Ways to Say Forever: Kofi & Henrietta's Accra Wedding
Two ceremonies, one promise. A traditional celebration deep in coral and gele, then a white wedding in Accra where the whole room rose to its feet. This is Kofi and Henrietta's day.
Some Love Stories You Simply Feel
Some weddings you photograph. This one you feel. Across two ceremonies and a single unbroken promise, Kofi and Henrietta gave Accra a day of deep colour and quiet white, and asked us only one thing: to lead, and to let the moments happen. So we did.

The Colour Came First
Before the white, there was the colour. Coral at the throat, the gele wound high, a red cap and cloth of gold catching every bit of light. The family gathered, the drums found their rhythm, and the courtyard moved the way a traditional celebration is meant to move, loud with love and heavy with meaning.

Henrietta arrived a study in blue and red and gold, one gown after another, each bolder than the last. Kofi met her in cloth of gold and a red cap, and their people sprayed them with the kind of joy you cannot rehearse. Two families stood together and, for one long afternoon, became one.

Then, the White
Morning again, softer this time. Baby's breath in her hands, lace to the wrist, a veil that seemed to carry its own light. Kofi waited in white at the top of the aisle and lost the quiet fight to keep his composure, which is our favourite kind of moment to hold.

Vows beneath a fall of white flowers, a procession back through a room already on its feet, and two people who had promised once promising again. Nothing about it needed to be big. It simply was.

The Two of You
Between the ceremony and the celebration, we stole them for a while. The glass and stone of the Kempinski, the open lawn, the light doing what Accra light does late in the afternoon. There was little to direct. When you trust two people to simply be with each other, the camera mostly gets out of the way.

The Room Let Go
Then the reception, and the room let go completely. Silver and blue on every table, a ballroom lit like a night sky, the first dance, the aunties leading the floor. Notes carried on the air, a plane crossing the frame at exactly the right wrong moment, and a couple spending the whole night being celebrated by everyone who loves them.

One More, in Red
And because a day like this earns an encore, one last turn in red. Softer light, sharper lines, the two of them a little more themselves once the formality was set down. A fitting final frame for a day that never once ran short of them.

Two ways to say forever, and both of them true. Congratulations, Kofi and Henrietta. It was an honour to hold your day.
